Ford Materials Recycling Facility

A brand new state-of-the-art facility designed to sort and separate the mixed dry recyclables that are collected from all households across West Sussex.  Once sorted and separated the materials are baled, ready for manufacturing into new goods and products.
  • Operated by Viridor, one of the UK’s leading recycling and waste management companies

  • Technologically advanced and highly automated 

  • Has the capacity to process up to 100,000 tonnes of dry recyclables a year, which includes paper, cardboard, telephone directories & yellow pages, plastic bottles, metal cans and tins, glass bottles and jars, liquid food cartons (e.g. Tetra Pak) and aluminium foil.

  • Has enabled the District and Borough Councils to extend the number and range of materials that can be recycled from home

  • Will help West Sussex achieve a 45% recycling rate
