Toys and books recycling...coming soon!

You can currently recycle your old toys and books at Bognor Regis, Shoreham and Worthing Household Waste Recycling Sites (HWRS), but from Friday 13th January you will be able to recycle these items at more locations across West Sussex.

New designated containers will be available at the following HWRS in West Sussex for residents to give a new lease of life to old, unwanted toys and books:

  • Billingshurst

  • Burgess Hill

  • Chichester (Westhampnett)

  • Crawley

  • Littlehampton

  • Midhurst

Containers for recycling old toys and books are already available at Bognor Regis, Shoreham and Worthing.

Old teddy bears, dolls, metal and wooden toys can be placed in these containers, along with unwanted puzzles, jigsaws and board games. Please box up these games and seal the box to avoid losing that odd bit of jigsaw!

The new containers will also accept unwanted books.

These items will be hand sorted and all reusable items given a new home.
