Mobile Sites
West Sussex County Council supports three mobile household waste facilities that service rural areas in the following Districts (Click on each location for more information).
The mobile service is a very basic service that supplements the 11 permanent Household Waste Recycling Sites. Mobile sites are provided for the convenience of householders who live in more remote areas. Waste arising from trade or business will not be accepted.
What can I take to the Chichester & Mid Sussex Mobile Sites?
The Mobile Sites ONLY accept general, non-hazardous waste materials that are not normally taken by your household waste collection service.

Please note:
- If you take recyclable materials (paper, card, glass bottles, wood, garden waste etc) to a mobile site, they will be accepted but they will not be recycled.
- Dumping waste other than in the containers/vehicle provided is prohibited and may lead to the service being discontinued.
- Mid Sussex Mobile Service - Some busier sites have a vehicle dedicated to green / garden waste that is then composted. Please check the mobile service timetable for details.
For queries regarding the Mobile Sites please contact Wastes Management Services on (01243) 642106.
How else can I dispose of my bulky waste?
