Glass bottles & jars

Glass is a unique material that can be recycled over and over again without affecting its quality. It uses less energy and also costs less to recycle glass than it does to make it from raw materials. Find your nearest bottle bank for recycling glass by clicking here.

You can also take glass bottles and jars to one of the permanent Household Waste Recycling Sites where they have glass recycling containers.

Alternatively, you may be able to put the glass bottles or jar in your kerbside collection bin for recycling, please check with your local District or Borough Council before hand.

FACT: Glass milk bottles are reused 20 times before they are recycled!
